City of Stockholm and Botkyrka municipality invest in a work hub

Published Dec 16, 2020

The City Council of the City of Stockholm proposed in its budget for 2021 to establish a local hub for administrative workplaces at the same time as existing premises are reduced or made more efficient.

The municipal board of Botkyrka municipality is commissioned to investigate how the municipality can contribute to the development of a large-scale work hub in Tullinge Centrum (ambition of 100 office spaces).

The pandemic has changed the opportunities for distance working, but even before 2020, there has been a demand for workplaces that would make it possible to work close to home but not at home.

Establishing such a work hub would increase the quality of life for affected Tullinge residents, make Tullinge an even more attractive area to live in and revitalise the downtown environment itself.

A pilot project, performed by Mistra SAMS on a smaller scale, exists today and provides an insight to the case.
